Odyssey of the Mind (OM) helps students learn to develop and use their creativity to not be afraid to solve any problems. This program will be an advantage for them in every aspect of their lives because of the skills and confidence they will gain. OM brings the classroom to life as they apply all these skills in their interest and passion to solve open-ended problems efficiently and effectively. OM encourages teamwork, time management, budgeting, public speaking, and a lot more. This international program is designed to let students learn and grow as individuals, team members and reach their full potential.

Our History

Odyssey of the Mind has been a leader in education for 46 years. It’s emphasized creativity, science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math long before it was a discipline. It started in Founder Dr. Sam’s innovative industrial design classes at Rowan University in the 1970’s. He believed learning should be fun, students should incorporate their own interests, there are always new uses for old items, and the way you ask a question is everything.

I have done Odyssey of the Mind 2 years ago, was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Being unaware of the 'Balsa wood' problem, after doing a lot of research & building various different structures, our team won the Regional round & moved on to the International Round. Poland was an enriching experience for me, learnt about different cultures & finally won the prestigious 'Omer's Award'. This could not have been achieved without our coach Bindu ma'am & the Odyssey team.

I have attended Odyssey of the mind two times both in World Finals as well in Eurofest. It was an enriching and great learning experience for me. Solving problems and thinking out of the box were the two key features of this competition. Interacting with students from all over the globe and making friends was the best part of this program.
